Tulip Quilt: Her Royal Purple Majesty

Hidden away, folded and stashed underneath a few other quilts draped on the quilt rack in the corner – by chance, by fate, by accident , something whispered – I am here – find me.

I had totally forgotten about this Tulip quilt top, another Goodwill find, entirely hand pieced beauty. I have no idea how long ago I found her. How could I forget you?

I have shared before I am not a purple fan….shame on me!

Everything about this quilt, now named “Her Royal Purple Majesty” is gorgeous and I am excited to have this quilting project to look forward too. ©

Home of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival at my back door, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite festival posters too

For someone who isn’t a fan of purple, you have a lot of it in the quilts you’ve picked! This top is amazing, too–you have your quilting hours filled far into the future.

Everywhere I turn I am seeing the color purple. I need to change my mindset and embrace my purple side! Now if only I can find more quilting time….

What a lovely find, I am amazed these things are in Good Will! How does that happen? Glad it has a new loving home!

Both times that I have found these amazing quilt tops – I couldn’t believe what I was seeing – all that work – I wish there was a note pinned to it- something like, “no longer quilting because of arthritis, need a good home” or “hand stitched by grandma ——— , finish with loving care” or a date would be nice too 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing these beautiful quilts! I am not a quilter, but can certainly appreciate the beauty, skill, and love that goes into these. Love, Sherry
