Christmas Card Cross Stitch

In a world with virtual cards for every occasion, I still send out Christmas Cards, do you? I picked up this sweet kit at the Goodwill for $1.99

Setting out straight a way to get it started, it took me some time, extra strong reading glasses, and good lighting.

Recipient is my one and only Uncle who is extra special to me

What is really funny about this card is he loves virtual cards, and I mean LOVES them. In fact, starting Dec. 1, have been sending him a virtual card every morning almost like an advent calendar of sorts. He may love virtual cards but I think he may like this one better.

yup I send out xmas cards, but sadly don’t have time to cross stitch them as my card list is too long. I do however make little tree décorations each year that I pop Inside the shop-bought cards I send.

Oh I love that idea of a homemade tree decoration for your cards. I admit – this cross stitch took me quite some time and I couldn’t even think of doing it for more than 1 person 🙂

So sweet! Your uncle is going to be thrilled when he sees it! I don’t do cards any more,I just made a loaf of bread for those special folks that I would send a card to… mom gets a beautiful ecard for she like those.

Bet it will be his favorite. I still have one my SIL cross-stitched years ago. I should get it out and enjoy it again this year.

You most definitely should! In fact I found 2 embroidered pictures I had done for Christmas in 70’s just recently and have them out 🙂

I think he will like this one even better! He can look at it forever. =) I send virtual cards. It’s a step up from sending nothing, which is where I was for years. With teaching and consulting and a longarm business, I had no extra hours for Christmas cards! Jacqui Lawson has been a real gift to me. =) If I still had a sweet aunt or uncle, I might send a real card. I did send a real one to Edi’s mother. =)
