SAL: Trick Or Treat Update #11

At my last posting I had almost finished adding the row of houses for trick or treaters to walk down. It looked like this below ~ houses in outer space πŸ™‚

I have been working pretty consistently these past three weeks. Here is where I am today.

I am still planning on adding a bit more in the area above the kids. I am not sure what but it looks a bit bare. Perhaps another bat, a moon? Any ideas?

I think the house row looks fine now that you’ve added a few trees!

Thank you Claire. I am debating on whether to outline the houses.

I think they stand out quite well without backstitch tbh

I like the trees a lot, maybe a little more definition between the house row and the one below?

Do you mean with the green suppose to be ‘grass’ under the houses Kathy?

I think so, not sure exactly what I would do, but it just seems to want just a little more of something at the moment. However, that could change once the next row is done too.

I agree, it seems to be wanting more. There is opening (of green) by the front doors, indicating paths up to the front door but it appears wonky to me too. I need to really think about this πŸ™‚

I like the idea of another bat above the end pumpkins, maybe facing the other way? Or a skinny tree branch, like the one above the pumpkins two rows up? It’s a great piece! Lots of progress, too.

I would add a bat on the right and maybe a moon between the 2nd and 3rd children. This is fantastic!

I think some trees would help to fill in the space. Well done on your progress. That little cat on the end is too cute!

Yes I agree it needs a little something above the kids but not sure what. I will be interested in seeing what you come up with πŸ™‚

So cute! I’m in the “add some bats” camp, and agree that they could be flying in different directions.

It’s funny, when I did the second bat it was suppose to be flying the opposite direction and some how I goofed up but decided to leave it.

Some bats on the right side might work. It looks great though πŸ™‚

OH I love it Sharon!!! I hope to join the Cross Stitchers soon, just need to go burn all the Cedar trees in the hill country! Cedar got me for 3 days – and so no long on schedule!
