HQAL: Jane’s Quilt

It’s one day away from saying good bye to February and another chance to update you on the progress with Jane’s Quilt. At our last posting I had just started quilting her. I began in the center medallion.

Here is a little reminder of the pattern.

A bit of progress has been made.

Continuing to work on the middle, I branched out into the lighter pattern to get a feel for the thread color with it. I am using Essential from Connecting Threads 100% cotton in a deep maroon. This quilt is so large, heavy and bulky she is hard to work but progress is being made. I am a little over a third way done with the middle. I am not in a rush, dividing my time with three other smaller lap quilts.

To film the quilt I had draped Jane over the smaller couch to photograph. Turning from it to begin this posting and then sitting across from it I was surprised to see our mini schnauzer Skye, had jumped up on her.

Looking forward to March and the ushering in of spring. Now I’am off to check in with the others in the quilt along. Please join me 🙂

Love the thread colors and this quilt Sharon! You are doing a great job! I want to start to hand quilt a quilt, but need to finish Raggedy Ann and Andy which is already loaded on the long arm, then the 2 baby quilts. Closing fingers that I can get those done this next week (dreamer aren’t I? ). Hugs

I think Skye has decided this is her (or his) quilt! That’s a big medallion center!

Skye knows a good thing when she sees it! I can just hear her sigh with pleasure as she snuggled down.🥰 your stitching looks wonderful.😍

She sure did snuggle down into the quilt. That was the end of stitching for that day 🙂

Your quilt is the perfect snuggle under quilt! I like the thread color you chose as well. It helps see your beautiful stitches. I blogged on my progress.
