SAL: Snowman & Reindeer Update

I have been working on a Dimensions Kit entitled Snowman & Reindeer since January. I am sharing this project with a bunch of other crafty bits ~ some hand quilting and junk journal making. Add in summer and lovely weather finally and it’s really hard to get to the projects but I made a huge effort this last week before posting. Here is the kit I am working on

This is where I was last time we checked in. I had gotten the reindeers head started and I felt like I had accomplished quite a bit.

And here is where I am now

I have the green reins to finish with all it’s sweet bells and then I can move up to the top. I was noticing also this time that the color floss given for the reindeer is considerably different then the packaged picture which is more on the gray/blue side. Not a big deal – just different πŸ™‚

Now I am off to check in with the others in the SAL. Please join me. We live all over the world so you may need to allow for time differences as we post at our local time.

Our next updates will be posted on the 17th July 2022.

About the SAL

Please note this SAL is not accepting any more new members until further notice but this is what it’s all about anyway. This SAL (Stitch Along) is slightly different to other SALs in that we don’t all stitch the same design at the same rate. We choose ONE unfinished project, or ONE new one, and show progress of its completion over a series of three weekly updates. There are no deadlines and no set amount to stitch. The result is that the space in our drawers full of WIPs (works in progress) is gradually being freed up to store lots of new crafty goodness. It’s surprising how much motivation I’ve gained from being in this SAL.A

Hi ~ loving junk journaling πŸ™‚ Kathy hosts a hand quilting group ‘HQAL’ that you could join, If you wanted, contact her and join us. It’s a smaller group than this one filled with lots of encouragement too πŸ™‚

You have made a lot of progress on this piece. It is adorable. I like the brown colors better than the greys for the reindeer.
