It really does feel like winter here in the northwest corner of the United States. Spending more time inside than out certainly helps with steady progress on projects. At our last posting I was here with my cross- stitch

My favorite stitching time is an hour in the morning with repeats of Perry Mason on the TV. I’ve made considerable progress and I’am still hoping for a Christmas finish. Here is where I am now

You can see the progress with the background. I still have a bit of the side to complete and then all the backstitching. You might miss the green reins for the reindeer. I actually had and didn’t realize I hadn’t finished them. I still feel like Mr. Snowman needs some help – some fill in. But if I don’t get to that and decide to leave him, I think he will be fine.
Now I’am off to check in with the others in this SAL. You can join me by clicking on the links below.
Avis, Claire, Gun, Christina, Kathy, Margaret,
He is really cute. Nice progress.

I figured you still had to fill in all the white of the snowman also. You’ve made great progress with the background. I think you will make a Christmas finish.

Thanks Cathie π The pattern calls for those open spaces on the snowman. It bothers me. I have my fingers crossed for a Christmas finish with this.

I just love this snowman Sharon! Maybe next year I will pick up a more complex pattern. It is all in getting comfortable with cross stitch. You are doing a great job! Hugs

Honestly this was a bit to complicated for me and I haven’t been able to follow the pattern all that well. It is very improvised in places. I am going back to simpler π

Thanks Laura – Poor Santa is waiting for his finish. I’ve been working on him for 11 months now – yikes – it’s taking me so much longer than anticipated but I do love how it’s come together π

The background is making that snowman stand out. Such a charming snowman with all his buddies.π₯°

I actually had thought about scrimping on this. It seemed like so much work after so much work π but your right, it really does frame in Santa and his reindeer.

I like it a lot. Honestly, it already looks finished to me! I don’t think it matters that you didn’t follow the pattern exactly. None of us have the pattern to compare, and it looks fine!
